Welcome to the Water Monster app. Water Monster connects you with water delivery, tank monitoring, water quality testing, and home services, and lets you browse stores, place orders, and share video content. This privacy policy explains what personal information we collect, how we use it, who we share it with, and the choices you have. By creating an account or using the Water Monster app, you agree to the practices described in this policy.
When you sign up we collect your name, phone number, and email address. Your phone number is verified with a one-time code. If you sign in with Google, we receive your name, email address, and profile picture from your Google account. You may also add a profile photo, a short bio, and a preferred language. Passwords are stored in encrypted (hashed) form and are never visible to us.
To deliver water, products, and services to you, we collect the addresses you save, including map coordinates you pin and any delivery instructions you add. If you register as a service provider, we collect the service location you set so nearby customers can find you. The app only accesses your device's GPS location when you tap "Use my current location" and grant permission.
We keep a record of your orders, service requests, bids, reviews, account balance, transactions, and any vouchers you use, so we can fulfil orders, resolve disputes, and show you your history.
Card payments are processed by Stripe, a certified payment processor. Your full card number never touches our servers — we store only a secure Stripe customer reference and the card's last digits and brand so you can recognise your saved cards.
If you connect a Water Monster tank device, we collect the tank's serial number, size, configured location, sensor readings such as water level, and related records like water test results and maintenance history. Tank data is linked to your account and to anyone you invite to view your tank.
When you use the reels feature we collect the videos and images you upload, along with your comments, likes, follows, and any reports you submit about other content. Reels you publish, your profile name, and your photo are visible to other users of the app.
We automatically collect technical information such as device and browser type, IP address, app usage patterns, video playback statistics, and push notification tokens. This helps us keep the app fast, measure what works, and deliver notifications you have enabled.
For the safety of all users we keep security logs, including sign-in attempts and a record of important actions performed in the app (for example placing or cancelling orders). These logs help us detect fraud, abuse, and unauthorized access.
We use your information to operate the app: fulfilling water, product, and service orders, connecting you with nearby providers, monitoring your tanks in real time, detecting leaks, and tracking water quality.
We use your contact details and push tokens to send order confirmations, delivery updates, tank alerts, and important account or service announcements by email and push notification. You can turn off non-essential notifications in the app settings.
We use your preferred language, saved addresses, and usage history to make the app easier to use — for example remembering your delivery location and showing content in Arabic or English.
We monitor account activity to protect our users, providers, and platform. This includes limiting repeated failed sign-ins, verifying phone numbers, reviewing reported content, and detecting unusual or suspicious behaviour such as fraudulent orders, fake accounts, or abuse of other users.
We may process your information where necessary to comply with applicable laws, regulations, or valid legal requests.
To keep Water Monster safe and trustworthy, we reserve the right to restrict, suspend, or permanently block any account when we detect unusual, suspicious, or harmful activity. This includes, for example:
Where the activity poses a risk to other users or to the platform, we may suspend or block an account immediately and without prior notice. Blocked accounts may lose access to pending orders, balances earned through misuse, and app features. If you believe your account was blocked in error, you can contact us at support@watermonster.io and we will review your case.
When you place an order or request a service, we share the details the provider needs to fulfil it — typically your name, phone number, delivery address, and order contents. If you choose to contact a provider through WhatsApp, your conversation happens on WhatsApp under its own privacy policy.
We work with a small number of trusted technology partners to run the app: Google Firebase (authentication, image storage, and push notifications), Stripe (payment processing), Mux (video hosting and playback for reels), and MongoDB Atlas (secure database hosting). These partners process your data only to provide their service to us and are bound by their own security and privacy obligations. We do not sell your personal information to anyone.
Content you deliberately make public — your reels, comments, profile name, photo, bio, reviews, and provider listing if you register as a provider — is visible to other users of the app.
We may disclose information when required by law, or when we believe in good faith that disclosure is necessary to protect our rights, your safety, or the safety of others, or to investigate fraud.
We keep your information for as long as your account is active. Order and transaction records may be retained after account deletion where we need them for accounting, dispute resolution, or legal obligations. Security logs are kept for a limited period and then automatically deleted. When you delete your account, your profile, tanks, reels, comments, likes, follows, reviews, and notification tokens are removed.
We implement industry-standard security measures to protect your information from unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, and destruction — including encrypted connections, hashed passwords, verified sessions, rate limiting on sign-in attempts, and server-side checks that ensure each user can only access their own data. No system is perfectly secure, so please keep your password confidential and contact us immediately if you suspect unauthorized access to your account.
Opting out of certain permissions or communications may limit some features of the Water Monster app.
The Water Monster app is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has created an account, please contact us and we will delete it.
This privacy policy may be updated periodically. We will notify users of any significant changes through the app, and the latest version will always be available on this page. Continued use of the app after an update means you accept the revised policy.
If you have any questions, concerns, or requests regarding your privacy or this policy, please contact us at support@watermonster.io.
By using the Water Monster app, you acknowledge that you have read and understood this privacy policy.
